Sixth

[Set after John's Announcement but before the spirits fade from people in general. For you see, Garrosh has been possessed by Twila following some other stuff in the event. And while he might have wanted to recruit people before now, John's announcement and the conversations confirms one simple fact to the orc-

His enemies fear this power.

The Malnosso have killed people for having the power before, they want it taken away now, and one of them even freely admitted that it is beyond his power to remove Twila's influence from him. And as such, Garrosh stops resisting entirely - he embraces this darkness which'll allow him to defeat the Malnosso, and embraces the power to finally make his army. Now, he needs only recruit people. He needs only show people the darkness.

And he'll do that, in full regalia and Gorehowl at his back.]

[ OOC note: Okay this is a bit of a self-indulgent skin of my teeth plot on my part, but this post will be for Garrosh to try to make people embrace Twila, through force if necessary. This might provoke some fairly significant violence, but I promise I'll talk it out with anyone who goes for it. If you have any creative ideas beyond this base idea, go for it! If you have some idea to get Garrosh to come to his senses, PM or private plurk me or something! It's sort of an open post in that respect. Otherwise, this is mostly just a post for an eight foot tall orc to just go nuts and try to collect soldiers to defeat the enemy. ]

[It's like hitting a brick wall, but Knives was prepared for that. It's still incredibly jarring, and takes a fairly ungainly and inelegant flailing of those broad white wings to maintain his perch. He still has time to make a snatch for one of those long black feathers and yank it free.

It probably won't feel too good, much worse than getting a hair pulled out, but Knives is only after one, which mitigates things a little. As Garrosh turns with a surly growl to deal with his sudden attacker, the plant shoves back and away to let momentum carry him out of easy reach of that axe.

There's no doubt in his mind; for all that Knives is faster and stronger than a human could hope to be, this ... brown creature was probably MUCH stronger physically. Getting hit by that axe would be a very, very bad idea. This doesn't prevent him from brandishing the stolen feather with a sharp, unpleasant grin. As if to thank Garrosh for his 'donation'.]

[A precious bit of stolen cargo, that feather. Not so much for Knives, who has no interest in these studies, but he'll hang onto it nonetheless, stowing it away inside a hidden pocket in his jacket once he's certain Garrosh has seen it, and knows who caused his current problems.

Having pulled out one of his own, he well knows the strange feeling that results. Sickness wasn't common for his kind.

It becomes readily apparent that the white-winged plant is alarmingly swift, the shockwave of compressed air and shower of rocks and pebbles immediately sends Knives surging skyward, only the hail of tiny rocks actually reaching him. He doesn't counterattack. Getting into melee range with Garrosh would be amazingly foolish. At night, where his new powers were weakest and the orc's strongest, would be even stupider.

This in no way makes him leave, though it's readily apparent he could.. and probably should. No, even if he doesn't dare actually attack back now that Garrosh knows he's there and is annoyed about it, he can't bring himself to go.

These blackwings were threats. Dangerous. If he was careful, if he was clever, getting rid of this one should be pursued. So: find a way to shift the advantage.]

Is that the best you can do?

[Words aren't needed, and Knives doesn't much wish to, but the quiet, scornful taunt floats down anyway. Even at night, and in the air, it's very, very easy to tell where the plant is, thanks to Hyt; the faint haze of light that surrounds him is almost a beacon, a taunt in of itself.]

[It's all he has to rely on, that speed. He can't match the orc's strength, and didn't have any useful weapons. At night, Hyt's gifts are all but useless, and Knives knows it ... but he can't seem to just leave while the leaving's good.

It's almost a compulsion, to stay and give Garrosh a hard time. Was it Hyt's enmity warring with simple reason?]

Is there a reason I shouldn't? Who are you, to not be doubted? All I see is another brainwashed black-wing dancing to the tune of the thing infesting them.

[It still sounds like mockery, even as Garrosh goes airborne. Calculations begin, on how close he can get before he's too close, and Knives has to move. Flying was an amazing gift, and that the orc actually knew how to use it to a decent level is an almost pleasant surprise! ... Almost. Very, very carefully the plant weighs, measures and calculates exactly how far apart they are as he twists his own flight to attempt to circle Garrosh in a light, rapid sweep.

It's still a taunt, but inaudible, jaunty, all gesture and flair instead of scornful words. Maybe he can provoke rage. When things stop thinking they become much easier to deal with.

.. for most species. Orcs, well. He's never run into those. It could be a costly mistake.]
