[So Garrosh has been living in a camp on the rough edges of the Farmlands for the last few weeks. The hermitage isn't exactly pleasant, but it is better than being in a village full of repugnant, apathetic, humans. He's considering constructing a proper house, because despite his best efforts to the contrary, the tent he's in is pretty darn cold. There's a few Farm buildings he's taken to crawling into when it gets too cold and there's a large fire he keeps up too.

Not that it's easy. The snow here is thick, far thicker than either Durotar or Nagrand (less than Northrend though, which is why the cold isn't bothering him too much) and it's making hunting a nightmare. Foraging too. Garrosh is smart enough to objectively know that especially since the heavier snow this last weekend, he's barely making it by. Still, he's not going to go into town and use that grocery thing. No sir. That'd be showing weakness to an enemy. Still, all these hardships just make him want to go and get in a real fight. Gorehowl thirsts for blood, particularly with how impudent many are here.

But he reigns in that anger. He'll explode it on his enemies (he needs to constantly remind himself the humans in that village aren't Alliance) later. Instead, he picks up his journal again. It's been some time since he opened it. The last time he did there were disappointing, but people have told him it's a source for information and he himself realizes it's an important part of the community of this enclosure. So he opens and... "Youth is love."

Really. Really? He almost slams the book shut again, but he reigns that in and, snarling, goes to make his own entry]

Are these tomes actually used for anything useful? [Which he knows is a useless question in and of itself, but. The anger in his voice is obvious and right now he doesn't care] Entries about love, random sounds and pointless sentences, gossip. [He snarls and just. Leaves it at that] Though, I suppose asking a question seems to fit with a pattern, leafing back.

[And with that he's done. However, you can talk to him in voice or encounter him at his camp in person! Garrosh does have love and hate triggers for the event. Also after this post, sometime within the next few days, one of the people he's interested in now or some other force or something will get him to actually come to the village, so you might see an eight foot tall tattooed orc in full armor (but with a cloak on over the armor) standing around the village as if looking for something to catch his interest. You might also run into him probing the door of Good Spirits (though not actually inside, probably), in Seventh Heaven (to see what's up with it) and finally, bunking at the Welcome Center if no one takes him home or anything like that.

[She would like to hear- since when do humans care at all about orcish culture? He arches an eyebrow, uncrossing his arms a moment, but then re-crossing them with the opposite arms on the top and bottom]

So what other talents do 'mutants' have?

[Similarly, she's pleasantly surprised he's just as interested to hear about what she's got to say. She smiles warmly.]

Oh, well, quite a wide variety. Some like me have control over an element, or several. Others have gifts that allow them to speak into another's mind. Still others have mutations that allow them to heal from any injuries at rapid rates...

["Speak in to another's mind" makes his eyes narrow briefly. His primary association with that is either the functioning of the Scourge or the "talents" of the Dreadlords. Or perhaps the whispers many of his men heard while they were in Northrend. Still, the second part is interesting, and the variety is interesting]

Those are impressive abilities to have in human hands.

They are. [she says, nodding. Of course, it's hard to miss the inflection he keeps putting on humans, and well, she has to ask - after all, she just identified as human herself. Wouldn't do to hang around him if he had something against mankind... Even if he seemed like someone worth spending time with.]

Pardon my saying so, but it does not seem like you have a very high opinion, of humans.

Not on principle. [He's quick to say this - to reassure her. It's far quicker than he would normally he registers in the back of his mind, buthe chalks it up to the necessity of making allies here in Luceti. Soldiers for his army. He's known for some time this is entirely necessary, cooperation with humans. Maybe he's just getting used to it.]

In Azeroth, a hateful Alliance is lead by humans and night elves who have blocked the progress of my people at every turn. The Alliance is my enemy, and as a result...

[He uncrosses one arm to make a gesture of swinging a one handed axe he clearly means as a "well, you know" shrug motion]

I'm sorry to hear that. [Her face falls, frowning sympathetically.] Why would this Alliance do such a thing? [She has an idea why, she just rather hopes it isn't what she thinks.]

[gorehowl]

Arrogance, and ill-spirit. The Alliance thinks that they ought to rule Azeroth. They call themselves "civilized" and justify controlling forests and using none of it, while the Horde is starved for timber.

[The rage is building back up into his voice. Alliance...]

[calmbeforethe]

[She can sense the growing anger in him - so, bravely (perhaps foolishly) she sets a hand on his forearm.]

But surely you must know that not all humans are this way. Is there no way for you to settle things without coming into such conflict?

[gorehowl]

There isn't. [PEACE is an illusion. Neutrality is what his people have suffered in. But while he would break into a rant about that, he instead snarls and looks down at where he's being touched. He relaxes somewhat]

[calmbeforethe]

[Frowning a bit, she's tempted to draw her hand away. Especially at that snarl. But she did feel him relax, so she squeezes gently.]

That's certainly a shame. But violence begets violence, and if you continue on like that...

[gorehowl]

I won't compromise the welfare of my people simply for "peace," particularly after the Shattering. It's an even harder world now, and it's one where it now comes down to survival.

[Though he says this resolutely, he also finds himself comforted by her arm there. And he's not... saying this with rage as much as factual information]

[calmbeforethe]

[So he comes from a world where he must fight for survival. Ororo can only nod, even if she does not approve of such a violent life, she can understand where he's coming from.]

Luceti must seem like such a slow and quiet world, compared to yours.

[gorehowl]

Frustratingly so. [With a light growl. Just a light one though, and after a short pause, he lifts his arm up to rest a hand on top of the one touching him. Perhaps a signal for her to get off. Perhaps a sign of appreciation. Even he's not sure.]

[calmbeforethe]

[She takes it as the former, face flushing uncharacteristically as she retracts her hand.]

- Ah, I apologize. I did not mean to be so forward.

[gorehowl]

It's acceptable. [He surprises even himself by saying] Forward or not, there clearly wasn't hostility in your actions.

[And he gives another approving nod, looking her over again. The flight was impressive, but he can't help but wonder what's so... interesting about this woman. Because something clearly is]

[calmbeforethe]

[At the same time, Ororo can't help but wonder at how she's never seen him around the village. Surely, with his height, she would have noticed him sooner? She should have. She can't quite place it, but there is something about him that draws her to him.]

Well, I am glad to hear it, then. [A small smile.] But, where are my manners? My name is Ororo.

[gorehowl]

[...Hm. He stands taller and thumbs a fist on his chest. It's a salute of sorts hat orcs do]
