gorehowl: (Kill you when you're old)

[Garrosh appeared in the forest. An unfamiliar but lush forest. It's clearly not Ashenvale and it's not any other one he's familiar with, but there's game to be found and it's pleasant. But it is also certainly not Durotar, he's alone, with no gear or weapon and his back is pain. Still, instinct drives him: the first thing an orc needs, be it on Azeroth or in Outland, is some sort of weapon. He scouts around for a sturdy looking branch and a sharp seeming rock to fashion himself, with an hour or so's work, a primitive spear. With this supplementing his eight foot tall, muscular (and tattooed) brown form, he's better off.

...Aside from the weird partial polymorph on his back. He doesn't know magic (at least no well), so while pride dictates he'd prefer not to have these wings, with no immediate implication the black things are a detriment to him and (from when he reached to try to tug on them) the realization that they are sensitive, he's resolved to ignore him until he can force answers out of a mage.

So, the massive but quiet (he is a skilled hunter, after all) man is now skulking in the forest. Both to find something to eat, and to find answers (being as how he ignored the journal at his feet originally, oops). So if you're in the forest, particularly if you're not an orc or troll or goblin or tauren or look like any of those, expect to be hunted. It might be dangerous, but he is looking to question, not kill, at the moment. Probably.

He will, of course, probably make it to town eventually, and when he does you'll also see him going to the Smithy and then promptly back out of town with his gear in hand, following the rivers and going up to survey the mountains/more of the forest over the next few days, camping as he goes. So if you'd like to chime in there, that's possible too.]

I am Ganondorf. I owe my allegiance to no one. As for my domain, it is little more than this small stretch of land within this wretched prison. Small though it may be, I do not lightly suffer intrusion.

[But he made no move of aggression. His sword remained several feet away, still planted in the ground. Though he was keenly aware of exactly where it was, he was not anxious to claim it. Not while the stranger was stopped and for the moment, not acting in aggression.]

[At this point, Derek gives way to the raw instinct that makes him a good hunter in the first place. He feels those hands going for his leg, knows its probably going to be crushed in a few seconds by the feel of it, but the rest of him is near and under Garrosh's body.

It's a desperate, instinctive act, but the hunter twists around, clawing his hands, the fingers stiff and curled, and drives them into the nearest, softest part of flesh he can find and digs and twists. They aren't stakes, but he puts the same amount of force--force that's enough to push through a vampire's breastbone--into the blow. The snap of his own bone only helps to drive the blow harder, Derek hissing with pain.]

[...He exchanges glances with Sneasel for a moment before nodding and hopping down.

It's only once he's down on the ground that he really gets a proper idea of just how big this guy is. He can't help but stare a little. He's curious about just what he is, but there's no proper way to ask that- at least not right now.]

[Well this was a shock. Her eyes fly open in time to catch sight of something huge barreling towards her, something she definitely hadn't expected when she set out to talk to the spirits today.

In one quick movement she sidesteps away, still standing pretty close but out of the way of getting choked for now.]

Whoah, what's with you!?

[The shotstaff is gripped tightly now in her hands, ready to be used to defend herself.]

The name of this place is Luceti. It's an enclosure of land surrounded by an impenetrable barrier.

We're put into enclosures like this to protect us from a huge destructive war taking place. The guys that put us in here are called the Malnosso. There are different branches of them that do different things. We don't really get much of a say in the matter.

I'm not sure what this world is called, but no one here is native to it. People from different worlds, times, places, you name it- they're all brought here by the world itself.

[That's the basics, anyway. He looks up to gauge Garrosh's reaction.]

[He can, if barely. You can thank military training for that; essentially, 'stop moving and you're dead'. For all that Derek has been telling Garrosh to just kill him, his survival instinct is still very much intact.

Not that he gets very far himself. His own vision is blurry, tinged with red and white flashes, and every movement sends fire up that mangled leg. Still, he'll stubbornly pull himself out from Garrosh and as far away as he can. Which is maybe, if he's lucky, a couple of feet. He watches the orc warily from his new vantage point, panting, but still very, very alert.]

[...Well. That's definitely comforting.]

Sometimes you get drafted into it anyway.

Lock what now?

[This really isn't the time to be taking things lightly, not when she has no reaction time between that initial attack and the next. She plans to make another sidestep, the spear landing a little off target from her attempt at moving but scoring a hit all the same. Hopefully nothing vital got skewered, but even if it didn't the pain she's feeling and the blood she can see staining her clothing is enough to make her consider the possibility.

The position she's in would make it hard to fold the shotstaff over for an attack, so cryas artes seem to be the way to go. She doesn't have the time to cast something big, so she goes with Pyrogenic Ring. Hopefully it'll at least give her a little more breathing room for at least a second or two.]

When things get tough, we become back-up. A quick list of names is thrown together and those people have no choice but to go and fight.

Of course, the guys we fight are trying to kill everyone, so at least we all have a common enemy.

[He'd really rather not get concussed, or, worse yet, get his skull busted open or his neck broken. So when Derek sees the swing coming, he makes the simplest move he can to get out of the way; he lets himself fall flat on his ass. There'll be a second clawed blow to anything that comes close to him at that level, though.]

[Derek rolls. It's all he can do at this point, really. There wasn't enough time to even attempt to get back to his feet again. Still, it's a surprise when he hits the edge of a slight slope and goes barreling down it, clamping down on another hissed scream as his leg hits rock and buried tree limbs. He fetches up against a boulder, trying to push himself upright while he waits for Garrosh to catch up with him.

He was rapidly losing steam now, and something had ripped his leg open on the way down. Hell. He's just going to sit here now while he bleeds into the snow, all right?]
tsuntrader: (Whatever.)

Can't say that I disagree. [...] If you ask me, it's all about who's worth picking fights with and how to pick your fights.

[Sneasel's attack fell! Sneasel looks wary in response to the intimidation, but not afraid. Concerned, even. He looks up at Silver, then back at Garrosh.]

[Good, this gives her enough time to flip the shotstaff and throw out some faster artes. With the incoming attack already poorly aimed from her last arte, another sidestep to get out of the way is possible. She steps backwards this time, adding more room between them and quickly following up with Emission Line to attack from a distance. Should the arte hit then she'll definitely be progressing on to something with a little more power to it.

Though she has the power to at least put up a fight, injury aside, she had no intentions of fighting anything today. Reasoning with a guy who seems bent on attacking her, or if the wound is anything to go off killing her, seems unlikely. However she's going to try and see if she can talk things out between artes.]

Hey big guy, maybe we can work somethin' out?!
