[Set after John's Announcement but before the spirits fade from people in general. For you see, Garrosh has been possessed by Twila following some other stuff in the event. And while he might have wanted to recruit people before now, John's announcement and the conversations confirms one simple fact to the orc-

His enemies fear this power.

The Malnosso have killed people for having the power before, they want it taken away now, and one of them even freely admitted that it is beyond his power to remove Twila's influence from him. And as such, Garrosh stops resisting entirely - he embraces this darkness which'll allow him to defeat the Malnosso, and embraces the power to finally make his army. Now, he needs only recruit people. He needs only show people the darkness.

And he'll do that, in full regalia and Gorehowl at his back.]

[ OOC note: Okay this is a bit of a self-indulgent skin of my teeth plot on my part, but this post will be for Garrosh to try to make people embrace Twila, through force if necessary. This might provoke some fairly significant violence, but I promise I'll talk it out with anyone who goes for it. If you have any creative ideas beyond this base idea, go for it! If you have some idea to get Garrosh to come to his senses, PM or private plurk me or something! It's sort of an open post in that respect. Otherwise, this is mostly just a post for an eight foot tall orc to just go nuts and try to collect soldiers to defeat the enemy. ]

comments

[Action]

[Garrosh Hellscream is back from his kidnapping, finally. He has been gone for more than... a spell. Several weeks, if he had to estimate. Not that he has a good way of estimates: it was dark, painful, and he he was not in control. He resisted, but was only beaten and drugged and chained further. He was a captive, at the mercy of some heartless scientists. And now that he's returned, deposited on the beach, these scientists have added insult to injury: they gave him back the one handed axe he was taken in with. He grips it tightly in his hand, snarling. He begins the long track down the beach and towards the teleporter.

He is bleeding as he does this - bleeding, bruised, and in the same ill fitting and torn pants he was in upon his arrival in Luceti. No armor or clothing or equipment other than this axe. Regardless, he does still is dangerous and perhaps more problematically, he is furious. His pride is wounded and despite his injuries, he'll stand a a highest change of getting violent than usual in this moment.

Garrosh's return is basically in five steps: 1) Beach to the teleporter, 2) Barracks to the Med Center in the Dome to demand healing, 3) Dome to the grocery, finally giving in due to his extreme hunger (he'll get fruits and other things he can eat in there mostly), 4) grocery to Good Spirits, to see if he can finally get in the damn bar now.

Encounter him whatever step of the way]

comments

[Action]

[So Garrosh sort of quietly moved into town after he got back from his mission that he went on after the Valentines event. Despite this, he has been refusing to eat the food provided at the grocery. So in two everyday events you might into him either in the area of House 57, removing some of the provided furnishings, retrofitting the house, trying to look like he's not living in it, or you might run into him in the forest checking his snares, getting some berries which still grow in the winter, and generally trying to survive off the land. It's made him way more hungry than he would be but he's still managing it.

Run into him in either of those locations. Or around them.

But you can also run into him actually in town. He considers going to the bar, but he's not sure that's fixed yet, and it's pissing him off. So instead he veers off to the item shop or the smithy to collect some metal plates, wood, or bone - whatever he can find - to bring back to his new house and construct a Horde symbol. This is so infuriatingly domestic, running into him in the course of this will probably provoke much, well, anger. Possibly violence too. So run into him in either of those capacities as well]

comments

It was the dead of winter, in a climate which he was in no way used to. Still, he had survived off the land as best he could and circled around most of the barrier on the village's side of the mountains. He'd traversed some in the mountains as well, and as a result of that (plus Saleh's knife) he now sported a crudely made pouch and cloak of hides and furs. The other item he took (Silver's journal) had since been discarded near the barracks.

Because he took one of their "teleporters" (a brilliant mage's invention, more sturdy seeming than a portal, but more jarring) to the beach. In his armor and the cloak, he walks the shoreline through the cold and snow, going up onto the (stone? He approves) docks to look at the various ships there. He contemplates taking one to take to the seas, but thinks better of it. He has no crew, and it is winter. Still, he'll probably be at least contemplating boarding them if no one stops him.]

[Action B]
[Probably on a different day from his farm adventures, and pulling his cloak tight about him, Garrosh is making his way towards the farmlands. Obviously, he does not expect anything to be in season in this cold and snow, but he wants to see with his own eyes what the operation looks like.

Perhaps meet a farmer and inquire what is grown, and in what amount. Go into the barns and see the livestock. He needs to know what infrastructure already exists before he knows if his army-to-be can be fed. After all, there's no mining operations as far as he can tell, so they will need some work. He can only hope it's less than he's honestly beginning to expect.]

[Action C]
[And finally, back to the village. He has no intention of staying, but as most of the possible soldiers (he has to keep reminding himself they are indeed that, what with it being so full of humans) live here, he needs to spend some time here to know them. Know their strengths, their customs, as deplorable as they already have proved themselves to be what with the apathy inherent in this village life.

So, on this night, he makes his way into Good Spirits, again following the map, and once inside sheds his fur cloak for a hanger. He does not get out of his armor though, and did not put Gorehowl away. Let the humans see the ax and Mannoroth's tusks on his shoulders. Let them be impressed. He'll just go get a drink. He intends to socialize (that's the point of being here) but the minute he steps inside the stench of the place insults him, putting him in a foul mood. It'll be an uphill battle.]

[Run into him in any places (the docks (A), the farmland (B) or the bar (C)) as it pleases you. the timeline of this post is sort of nebulous: feel free to assume any time between now and the start of fourth wall.]

comments

[Action]
[Garrosh appeared in the forest. An unfamiliar but lush forest. It's clearly not Ashenvale and it's not any other one he's familiar with, but there's game to be found and it's pleasant. But it is also certainly not Durotar, he's alone, with no gear or weapon and his back is pain. Still, instinct drives him: the first thing an orc needs, be it on Azeroth or in Outland, is some sort of weapon. He scouts around for a sturdy looking branch and a sharp seeming rock to fashion himself, with an hour or so's work, a primitive spear. With this supplementing his eight foot tall, muscular (and tattooed) brown form, he's better off.

...Aside from the weird partial polymorph on his back. He doesn't know magic (at least no well), so while pride dictates he'd prefer not to have these wings, with no immediate implication the black things are a detriment to him and (from when he reached to try to tug on them) the realization that they are sensitive, he's resolved to ignore him until he can force answers out of a mage.

So, the massive but quiet (he is a skilled hunter, after all) man is now skulking in the forest. Both to find something to eat, and to find answers (being as how he ignored the journal at his feet originally, oops). So if you're in the forest, particularly if you're not an orc or troll or goblin or tauren or look like any of those, expect to be hunted. It might be dangerous, but he is looking to question, not kill, at the moment. Probably.

He will, of course, probably make it to town eventually, and when he does you'll also see him going to the Smithy and then promptly back out of town with his gear in hand, following the rivers and going up to survey the mountains/more of the forest over the next few days, camping as he goes. So if you'd like to chime in there, that's possible too.]

comments
