gorehowl: (Rivalry with Varian)
Garrosh Hellscream ([personal profile] gorehowl) wrote2013-01-23 01:33 pm

Second

[On Garrosh's first day he learned quite a bit. Not what the people of this enclosure seemed to want him or expect him to learn, but he learned all the same. The people here were powerful, but listless. Strong, but weak in spirit. Or perhaps, their spirit was not channeled properly. It was not focused. They were warriors, but they must be from soft worlds. Worlds which has not gone through the likes of his own. The Nexus War. The Lich King. The Shattering. Azeroth was a land of conflict, and it forged its people - particularly the Horde - towards one purpose: war. Those who he had talked to here clearly feared war, and that fear prevented them from making the logical conclusions he had beginning to draw. They had told him the situation was complicated or delicate even as they had begun to rot in apathy.

He would change them.]

[Action A]
[But he couldn't do that before he knew what he had to work with. It was the dead of winter, in a climate which he was in no way used to. Still, he had survived off the land as best he could and circled around most of the barrier on the village's side of the mountains. He'd traversed some in the mountains as well, and as a result of that (plus Saleh's knife) he now sported a crudely made pouch and cloak of hides and furs. The other item he took (Silver's journal) had since been discarded near the barracks.

Because he took one of their "teleporters" (a brilliant mage's invention, more sturdy seeming than a portal, but more jarring) to the beach. In his armor and the cloak, he walks the shoreline through the cold and snow, going up onto the (stone? He approves) docks to look at the various ships there. He contemplates taking one to take to the seas, but thinks better of it. He has no crew, and it is winter. Still, he'll probably be at least contemplating boarding them if no one stops him.]

[Action B]
[Probably on a different day from his farm adventures, and pulling his cloak tight about him, Garrosh is making his way towards the farmlands. Obviously, he does not expect anything to be in season in this cold and snow, but he wants to see with his own eyes what the operation looks like.

Perhaps meet a farmer and inquire what is grown, and in what amount. Go into the barns and see the livestock. He needs to know what infrastructure already exists before he knows if his army-to-be can be fed. After all, there's no mining operations as far as he can tell, so they will need some work. He can only hope it's less than he's honestly beginning to expect.]

[Action C]
[And finally, back to the village. He has no intention of staying, but as most of the possible soldiers (he has to keep reminding himself they are indeed that, what with it being so full of humans) live here, he needs to spend some time here to know them. Know their strengths, their customs, as deplorable as they already have proved themselves to be what with the apathy inherent in this village life.

So, on this night, he makes his way into Good Spirits, again following the map, and once inside sheds his fur cloak for a hanger. He does not get out of his armor though, and did not put Gorehowl away. Let the humans see the ax and Mannoroth's tusks on his shoulders. Let them be impressed. He'll just go get a drink. He intends to socialize (that's the point of being here) but the minute he steps inside the stench of the place insults him, putting him in a foul mood. It'll be an uphill battle.]

[Run into him in any places (the docks (A), the farmland (B) or the bar (C)) as it pleases you. the timeline of this post is sort of nebulous: feel free to assume any time between now and the start of fourth wall.]

[Well, looking up at this thing for an extended period of time was going to give quite the ache, now wasn't it. Crack goes a neck and eyes are set out on the ocean instead of straight up, making his way around Garrosh to stand at his side.]

[He didn't care about the Warchief's clan or his affiliation, but pride for your race? Sure- that's nothing foreign to the Saiyan Prince. Something he can appreciate.]

An orc. [It's echoed merely for memory's sake.] Well, I can say you've made the top of my list of strangest creatures I've met so far during my stay here. But I suppose you probably already knew that. [Because honestly, how couldn't he? Thing was a small tree on his own.]

So tell me, orc, what exactly brings you out to these docks? Surely you're not contemplating swimming out of here- that will do you no good, I assure you that.
misterbrief: (you wouldn't lie to me would you?)

[An eyebrow raise meets a smirk and he glances up at the behemoth next to him. An entertaining assumption.]

Aren't you just full of misinformation. [The Prince lets his arrogant cadence build, tone more amused than angry.] Had you said "Saiyan" instead of human then you might of actually gotten your facts straight!

And no- I haven't tried swimming out of here. [His voice drops down to a low growl, retaining it's humored and haughty nature- and he steps out in front of Garrosh, turning on a heel to face the orc.] I don't need to.

But I believe I asked you first.
misterbrief: (You won't win)

[Vegeta cranes his neck back to look out at the ships, turning his mouth up at the vessels in the water before looking back at Garrosh with his eyes narrowed.]

I don't see why you're wasting your time with that, one good blast and they'd be sunk in seconds. [He raises an eyebrow, noting the straight to the point generic answer to the question. If the Warchief didn't feel like sharing, then fine, it didn't matter to him either way.]

[So he gives a shrug and another smirk from the question now at hand, eyes closing.]

Good question. [He's in between showing Garrosh or just letting him wonder what he was getting at. But his pride gets the better of him on this one.]

Let me show you.

[He pushes off the dock backwards and lets his ki take him up, feet leaving the stone surface and hanging in midair as he floats up to eye level with the fearsome Garrosh.] You see, I've already explored the lengths of how to leave this place; thus why I said swimming is a bad idea. But if you want to give it a try, go ahead.

[Vegeta is pretty serious with his next statement; he's pretty much done with messing around with Garrosh, going straight to the point on the matter. Because the whole ordeal bothered him and he wasn't trying to hide it, either.]

[He points his index finger out to indicate the furthest one could see of the ocean before them.]

It may look open but you can only go out so far before you reach an invisible barrier that encircles this area; I've already been out there and it's impossible to get around, even underwater. [And yes, the water was cold and yes he was freezing and probably won't do that ever again.]

It's ridiculous, keeping us here. [His eyes narrow as he looked back out to sea.] I don't even understand why those ships are there, you can't even take them anywhere. [At least to his knowledge.]
misterbrief: (and what does that mean for me)

Well I guess that's their problem, now isn't it.

[He lands back on the stone dock next to Garrosh again, floating down quickly, catching himself with his right foot and balancing out on the left.]

Unless you have any other questions, I'll be on my way. [Thinking about being trapped here put him in a sour mood again, and he's ready to get some peace and quiet to himself now that he's acquainted himself with this new creature, this orc.]

[He did speak first, indeed- but he was never one for being polite.]

[He takes a glance back up, eyes intense with that irritated glare he always carried in them.]

Vegeta. Prince of all Saiyans. [He pauses.]

And yours?
misterbrief: (You still owe me that fight Kakarot.)

[He smirks up at Garrosh at that title.]

A leader of an entire people, am I correct, Warchief Hellscream?
misterbrief: (Listen I don't have time for this.)

I've never heard of this Horde you speak of. What...is a Horde?

[He thinks it's once species, after all. Possibly all orcs? He would have said orcs though if that were the case, wouldn't he of?]
misterbrief: (this doesn't look good)

[Action]

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-01-28 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
I see. A world at war. Tell me, are you winning? [Yeah he's never heard of any of those races. Maybe trolls and goblins, but that was just part of horror stories to tell children in the dark.]

So everything from Halloween is a reality in your world then?
misterbrief: (It's been a while hasn't it son?)

I feel like Vegeta's going "Are you my dad?" at this point XD

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-01-28 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Vegeta's starting to get the idea that maybe Garrosh might even be as angry as he is.]

[So he stands there for a second to let the orc get his speech out, one he so fervently believed in. The Prince definitely can't fault him for being so proud and so sure of himself. His race had its own war, the Saiyan-Tuffle war; so it was understood.]

Well if you keep that attitude up then I'm sure you will. And this Deathwing sounds like one big tough guy! [He's smirking again, because Vegeta honestly thinks he could probably take on whatever it is Garrosh is talking about single-handedly, like every obstacle he came across. Though it would probably end up in failure for him against the corrupted Aspect of Earth.]
misterbrief: (So you want to play.)

YOU'RE THE CELL AREN'T YOU this will be awkward if you're not

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-01-28 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Faced death? Do you even know what actual death is? [Because this guy right here's done it twice already.]

I'm sure this Alliance won't stand a chance. [Said pretty flat toned, and uninterested, but truthfully. They'd have to be packing something pretty incredible to deal with creatures such as the Warchief, let's be real here. The orc could easily rip off most creature's heads if he wanted to, by those looks.]

And what makes you think you're going to be able to beat this Deathwing and this Alliance you speak of?
misterbrief: (and what does that mean for me)

ha..haaaa.....hmmmm....i can explain >.>;

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-01-28 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well I hate to break it to you, Warchief, but right now you're stuck here and I can't tell you whether or not your Horde has its fearless leader to help conquer this Alliance.

You're definitely not in Azeroth anymore.

[His head is cocked to the side now, peering at Garrosh. The orc really let loose, and it was a lot to take in- but he gets it, mostly, though he might not remember all the names.
misterbrief: (do i have to really)

XD i was assuming off of when i was receiving tags, yours and his were close

[personal profile] misterbrief 2013-01-30 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
[He gives a sigh, from the experience he'd gained from his own journey for power and domination. Things don't always turn out the way you first intended them to be...but he'll keep his mouth shut on that matter, he knew better than most about how hard it is to get something like that through a thick skull. Namely Vegeta's.]

Listen, don't you think you should figure out exactly who the enemy is first before you go off and get yourself killed? [Vegeta isn't even sure himself, though he's pretty irritated with the Malnosso and doesn't trust them as far as his wife could throw them.] I hope you don't think that tiny axe you've got there is going to be the sole reason we defeat anything!
